A Learning Curve

Working for a man who is much smarter than you are is a blessing. Many at the company took offense to much of what he did and said; however, I see this man as a friend and a mentor. When I started working at this company, I had to quickly adapt and change as new challenges arose each and every day.

Ultimately, I learned more in this position than I would like to admit. It was a truly humbling experience once my employer laid out two simple goals for us to follow. What were these two goals, you may be wondering? Let’s dive into it.

My Mentors’ Two Rules:

There were two goals that this man set for the whole company and for us personally, both of which pushed me as an employee. His two goals consisted of the following. “Always Do Your Best,” and “No one is too good that they can’t still learn.” Two simple goals that will push you harder in life than you will realize.

Why I Wasn’t Ready

I decided that I need to learn from the fact that I am not too good that I can’t learn. So this is a learning and exploratory blog so that you, the reader, can learn with me on this journey of diving deeper into marketing, sales, and search engine optimization. After earning my degree in Business Administration Marketing, I felt I was truly prepared to take on the world and help companies market their products and services. How naive I was at that time.

During this same time, I was working for the above-mentioned gentleman, and I came to realize I needed to truly apply what he was asking us to set as our goal. I wanted the humility to understand that there is always something that I can learn, there is always a way that I can grow. I hope that you have this same drive.
